President’s Report:
Formed the Election Committee:
Joni Candey will be board member
Jim Millet will be a non-board member
Lucetta Lightfoot will be the third person on the committee
Lance would like to send out a “member survey” in the Zundfolge. He will email it to the board for our review. Lucetta will determine the cost of an insert for the magazine or price on bulk mailing the survey. This will be done after August 6th.
Vice President Report:
Bill reported for $90/year we could purchase $30,000.00 bond protection for the board officers. The Board approved it. Discussion on ideas coordinating special interest group activities with club activities. Representatives from such groups should attend board meetings to learn what is going on with all the activities to coordinate events. We promote such activities in Zundfolge. Discussion regarding liability to club if we promote tours and something happens on the tour. Bill doesn’t want us to make any group feel un-welcomed. Our attitude should be what could we do to help them.
Treasurer Report:
Tom reported $9359.40 balance in checking account. C.D. account balance is $6063.58. We are looking good. Track costs have been paid for the entire year.
General Meetings and Events:
Historics Car Corral – Lucetta reported she obtained extra tickets and still had to turn away folks for the car corral. For next year we need to let organizers know we would like to stay in the same location both days.
Dinan Tech Session – Bill reported there were 115-120 club members in attendance. It was well received. The club brought chairs, and it was appreciated. Steve Dinan talked for an hour. He was well spoken. New members were solicited. Lots of good food. Chairman Rick Gulstrom did a great job. Strictly did a good job too.
ALMS PIR – David reported everything is ready to go. The corral will be full with 50-150 cars expected. Have over $500 in banners. Flags which were donated by Kuni BMW in Portland, will be given away for BMW supporters to wave. Strictly BMW is donating money towards water and snacks for the tent.
CCA National Meeting – The location will be the Marriott Courtyard in Redmond. For dinner Jacqueline will look into the Lake Washington Grill House in Kenmore. Lance can make arrangements at Café Veloce in Kirkland if needed.
Car Corral at IRDC SIR – September 9th – will be a limited number of tickets available.
Evergreen Speedway Demolition Show & Fireworks – September 29th Lance will collect money for tickets for this family event.

BMW CCA tech session will be 9/15 at Ray Kirkland’s home in Redmond. Planning a 02 Northwest Show with the B.C. group, the same weekend of the Concours. This event will be on Saturday, and the Concours will be on Sunday.
General event – Lance planning an event in October for a possible collection of BMW or Automobile memorabilia at the Mercer Island Community Center for display.
Fiske wheel event possibly October 13th.
Web Site:
Links on the web for pictures from the Concours.
Concours – follow up:
Was very successful. Had net income for the first time. Trophies will cost more next year, but they are beautiful.
Zundfolge:
Lucetta reported the mailing service is going fine. Printing costs may be going up. Working on advertisers commitments.
Roster/Membership:
Still some members have not been added to roster from data base change. Should have been taken care of by now. Members need to change their address through National, not with our club.
Banquet:
Kevin not present.
Driving Schools:
July event went well. For the July and August events we finally reached the point of having exclusive BMW cars participating due to the large number of BMW drivers registering. The August school is already full. The October 28th School conflicts with the 2-day school in Spokane. Need to get commitment from instructors for the Bremerton school. SIR, Pacific Raceways, future plans are still to change and improve the track and facility, but the plan is to not shut it down while improvements area in progress. Jacqueline met with Jason Fiorito and talked about ideas for improving track and told Jason our history of track use and dates we like to have. Possibility of meeting with Jason with our club and other car clubs, to talk about future plans for the track. He is open to hearing from those who use the track.
Tours/Rally:
Tours need to be driven more slowly and carefully. There will be rules for future tours.
