President’s Report:

The report on tax exempt 990 form is done.  Marty Hovenkotter helped us out.

Chapter congress October 6 & 7th still no reply from Keith if we can send alternate to meeting.

Board member absences:  Discussion on removing David Lightfoot as a board member.  Motion made to table removal, seconded and approved.  Discussion followed.

Treasurer Report:

$9740.00 in account.  Check for $5700.00 leaves balance of $4000.00.  Thanks to Marty for helping get report 990 done.

General Meetings:

Dyno Day – 5/12, Ken reported 11 people registered.  There were 22 in attendance.  Financially break-even event.

Z3 Tech session - 6/2, Karl reported 30 people attended.  Great job by Auburn Foreign Car.  Clean shop and good food was made available.

Detailing Session at Bradley’s - 6/30, Tom Cox reported we would probably need to showcase outside due to the projected large turn out.

Historics Car Corral – 7/7 – 7/8, Lucetta reports there is a waiting list for corral tickets.  She is trying to get more tickets.

Dinan Tech Session – 7/14. Rick Gulstrom reports he is expecting a large turn out.  Steve Dinan will be present.  Have 60 people telling Strictly they will be there.  Want tents, a P.A. system, chairs, and plan to display about a dozen cars.  Discussion on Strictly providing tent if they desire it.  Club will not provide it.  Strictly can ask Dinan for support since they both benefit from this exposure to club members.  Consensus from Board to abstain from any financial support from the club.

ALMS PIR tent – 8/4 – 8/5, David reported there will be a race corral.

Autobody tech repair – 11/3, Jim suggests a repair shop in Lake City.

Roster/Membership:

Greg reported National is redoing their database.  New members are getting the magazine but not their membership cards.  No new member information for the past 6 weeks.  They are having problems.

Banquet:

A member has talked to Lance regarding the position available to chair the event.

Driving Schools:

May school – very successful event, students were very calm and had great attitudes.  New things introduced into the program.  Helmets were tech’d and went smoothly during Ground School.   Great pool of resources with club people.  New radios working out well.  Tech procedures ran through the legal dept. and now read well legally.  Pass/Fail on tech sheets.   Possibly change the tech time to 45 days before event rather than 30 days.  Good feedback from students on tech requirements.

Driver Training/Lapping days- is a good title.  It says what our driving schools are really about.  It was suggested to have spot checks on instructors, we are implementing.

Tours/Rally:

LeMay tour has 74 cars, with approx. 150 people.  May need to break into 2 or 3 groups.  There is a $5.00 donation needed to view the collection.

Wine Tour – there are 29 cars with 51 people.  Will have trouble at the wineries, cannot hold all the people at each winery.  Can break into groups and swap.

Dave Himes has offered to do a tour to Ocean Shores August 4th.

Web Site:

Dale not present.

Concours:

Running okay.  Question: do we want 150 posters like we had last year?  (yes).  Will BMW Seattle bring any cars?  Yes, the Z8.  Need a Z3 sign from Lance.

 Zundfolge:

Deadline June 15 for July issue.  Used mail service for first time.  Some glitches.  Will figure out how much postage went down and the cost of the mailing service.  It will go better next month.  Service went out of their way to make it okay for us.

Roundabout:

Cecilla Hill – pass

Ken Hill – pass

Karl Seeger – pass

Walt Conley – like the location of Round Table.  Future goal of having videotape of SIR and PIR tracks.

Jacqueline Kahn – pass.

Evie Falkin – pass

Lucetta Lightfoot – 3 members gave feedback on rally shirts that they are falling apart after laundering.  CCA National meeting needs a place for dinner, ideas, and dollar amount suggestion of $25/person.  Fest NW at Harrison Hot Springs may scale it back, too pricey.

Rick Gulstrom – pass

Don Robesch – pass

Bill Linder – Will work out kinks in wine tour.  May need to limit future participants.

Chris Linder – pass

Ken Wear – interest group for 02 will meet at end of June.  Computer crashed.  Couldn’t email Lucetta.  Bulletin board comments after school were great!

Jim Millet – pass

Tom Cox – pass

David Lightfoot – pass

Greg Mierz – Michelle went to driving school and told him she was glad she did it.

Lance Richert – location? Agreed place is good.  Will try it for a few months.  Vote – all but one agreed.  Will order some pizza as a group next meeting, comes with drinks.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:19 pm.

Respectfully submitted by Evie Falkin, Secretary.
